The 2SLGBTQIA+ Advisor acts as a resource for students needing support or guidance and hosts weekly drop-ins (with snacks) on Wednesdays from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm in Sir James Dunn Hall, room 211. Students can reach out to Gail to discuss topics including personal wellbeing, self-advocacy, discrimination and/or any other concerns.
Gail has valuable experience in supporting students. She is a retired teacher and was her school’s Gender-Sexuality Alliance Facilitator, as well as being co-chair of Pride in Education. In the broader community, she has worked with nursing homes, churches, businesses, and the police to help create safer spaces and best practices for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Among other honours, Gail was chosen a New Brunswick “Pride Hero” in 2018.
